Why can't the water pipe use galvanized pipes?

Probably in 2000, the state issued a related regulation. In the Ministry of Construction's promotion and application of restrictions on the use of prohibited technology, the galvanized pipe was clearly required to use galvanized pipes as a drinking water pipeline. . So since then, galvanized pipes have been used in tap water pipes in all parts of our country.


This is mainly due to the galvanizing treatment of the inner and outer layers of the galvanized pipe. After the galvanized layer is destroyed, the water is in direct contact with the iron pipe, which is very easy to rust. In fact, this phenomenon is particularly easy to see, that is, the water pipe in our home is not used for a long time, if it is open, then a red rust-like water flows out. This shows that the rust in the pipeline is very serious, and it can also be judged that the pipe in your community has a part that uses galvanized pipe, and it is definitely an old community.


Combine the above two factors: The first point is that the galvanized pipe is particularly prone to rust, and there is a large amount of rust after rusting. Another point is that it is particularly prone to bacteria after rusting. Therefore, the state has banned the application of this ordinary galvanized pipe on the domestic water pipe. Finally, as we have seen, the galvanized pipe is prohibited from being used on the tap water.

Analysis of the application of tap water pipeline at the current stage

We know that the tap water in our homes comes from water plants, and the water in the water plants usually comes from rivers and lakes. The water in the rivers and lakes enters the water plant. After a series of sedimentation, filtration, and disinfection, the water is pumped to the pipeline through the pump, and then piped to each of our communities and then to each home.

The third part is the pipe from the pipeline well to the indoors. It can be said that almost all of the PPR pipes are used, and there are few other forms of water pipes.

It may be because the previous ductile iron pipe is also very easy to rust, so there are some new types of tap water pipes. These pipes are also mainly used in public areas, not in our homes.


The first type is a composite pipe of enamel inside. This type of pipe is based on a galvanized pipe, and the inner wall of the pipe is a layer of porcelain. Personally think that this kind of pipeline is definitely the best in terms of hygiene. Because everyone in porcelain has seen it, our dishes are basically porcelain, so it is in line with hygienic standards.


The second type is a plastic-lined steel pipe. The pipe is also based on a common galvanized pipe , and the inner wall of the pipe is coated with a layer of plastic which is closely attached to the inner wall of the pipe. This prevents direct contact of the water with the inner wall of the tube. In fact, personally think that it is equivalent to our PPR pipeline.
